Now this examination will be held on 16 June 2024. According to the information, the admit cards of the candidates will be issued through online medium a few days before the examination. The decision to amend the preliminary exam date was taken after the Election Commission announced the election schedule for the 18th Lok Sabha in April-June 2024 last Saturday. Now the preliminary examination will be conducted on June 16. The UPSC Civil Services Main Exam is scheduled to be held over five days from September 20.
Earlier, the Commission had also extended the last date of application for Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024. According to the official notification, the last date for application was extended till 6th March at 6 pm. The application correction window was kept open from March 7 to March 13, 2024.
Through UPSC, CSE 2024, the Commission will recruit a total of 1056 posts. In this, 180 posts of IAS have been filled, in which 73 posts have been reserved for General Category, 24 for SC, 13 for ST, 52 for OBC and a total of 18 seats have been reserved for EWS. A total of 150 posts have been filled for IPS, in which 60 posts have been reserved for General Category, 23 posts for SC, 10 posts for ST, 42 posts for OBC and 15 posts for EWS. A total of 55 posts of IFS will be filled.
