It has also been announced that two other Vande Bharat trains will be discontinued this week. The new Vande Bharat Express train will connect Rajasthan and Gujarat. This new semi-high speed train will run between Udaipur and Asarwa (Ahmedabad). The maintenance and operation of this train will be done by the North Western Railway (NWR). This will increase regional connectivity in the state and boost the economy. NWR said in a statement that for the convenience of passengers, the Railway Board has announced the Udaipur City-Asarwa (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat train.
Two Vande Bharat Express trains will cease service.
Indian Railways has also taken another important decision. According to this, two Vande Bharat Express trains will be discontinued this week. These trains operated on the Udaipur City-Agra Cantt and Udaipur City-Jaipur routes. In a statement, NWR said that train number 20981/82 (Udaipur City-Agra Cantt-Udaipur City) Vande Bharat Express will cease operating from February 15, 2026. Meanwhile, train number 20979/80 (Udaipur City-Jaipur-Udaipur City) Vande Bharat Express will cease operating from February 14, 2026.
Udaipur City-Asarwa (Ahmedabad) Timings and Frequency
The Udaipur City-Asarwa (Ahmedabad)-Udaipur City Vande Bharat Express train will run six days a week, except Tuesdays. Train number 26963, it will depart from Udaipur City at 6:10 am and arrive at Asarwa at 10:25 am. Meanwhile, train number 26964, the Asarwa (Ahmedabad)-Udaipur City Vande Bharat Express, will depart from Asarwa at 6:45 pm and arrive at Udaipur City at 8:22 pm. According to NWR, the train will stop at Jawar, Dungarpur, and Himmat Nagar stations. The train’s maximum speed will be 160 km/h. Passengers will enjoy a faster, more comfortable, and premium travel experience.
