PM Modi will flag off the Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express today through video conference. It will also be telecast live at Bareilly Junction. Guest passengers will be provided free travel in this train on the first day.
Railways has released the fare list of 22490/22491 Meerut-Lucknow-Meerut Vande Bharat Express. On the first day on Saturday, guest passengers will be allowed to travel free between Meerut-Lucknow. Regular operation of 22491 Lucknow-Meerut and 22490 Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will start from Sunday and Monday respectively. Ticket booking has started after the train was updated on IRCTC website on Friday.

This train will stop only at Moradabad and Bareilly Junction between Meerut-Lucknow. Vande Bharat Express will cover the distance of 560 km in seven hours and 10 minutes.
Ticket booking starts from Friday
The average speed of Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat will be about 15-20 km per hour more than Dehradun-Lucknow. After booking started on Friday, seats for dates after September 5 are getting booked rapidly.
In view of the preparations for welcoming the train at Bareilly Junction, DRM RK Singh has issued instructions. In fact, on Saturday, apart from the candidates of the police recruitment examination, there will also be a crowd of pilgrims coming to Ala Urs at the junction. In view of this, instructions have been given to make strong security arrangements.
Regular time table
– 22490 Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat will leave Meerut at 6:35 am and will reach Moradabad at 8:35 am, Bareilly at 9:56 am and Lucknow at 1:45 pm.
– 22491 Lucknow-Meerut Vande Bharat Express will leave Lucknow at 2:45 pm and will reach Bareilly at 6:02 pm. From here it will reach Moradabad at 7:32 pm and Meerut at 10 pm.
