Vande Bharat New Service: The first overnight service of India’s first semi-highspeed Vande Bharat Express has been started. This service has been started between Bangalore and Chennai. That is, now by boarding a train at night, one can reach from one city to another at the speed of the wind, even before the first rays of the sun rise in the morning. Keeping in mind the extra rush of passengers during the festival season, the operation of Overnight Vande Bharat Express has been started.
Overnight Vande Bharat Express between Chennai Central and Yesvantpur Bangalore has started operations from 21 November 2023.
How much time will it take
The distance between Chennai and Mysore is about 497 km, which takes about 8.30 hours to cover by a normal train. But semi high speed Vande Bharat Express will cover this distance in just 6.30 hours. Whereas Vande Bharat Express will take about 5.30 hours to cover the distance of approximately 343 km between Chennai and Bangalore. According to the information received, this Vande Bharat Express will run between Chennai and Mysore via Bangalore. This train will operate 6 days a week. This train will not run only on Wednesday.
When will the train open
This Vande Bharat Express train running between Chennai Central and Bangalore will have 8 coaches. Which will leave from Chennai at 11 pm and will reach Bangalore early in the morning i.e. 4.30 am the next day. Let us tell you, all the 34 Vande Bharat Expresses running till now were operated during day time only. But keeping in mind the huge rush of passengers during the festival season, Southern Railway has decided to operate Overnight Vande Bharat Express at night. This is the country’s first Overnight Vande Bharat Express.
How much will the fare be
According to information received from media reports, the fare for chair car of Vande Bharat Express between Chennai and Bangalore on Chennai-Mysore route will be Rs 995 and the fare for executive chair car will be Rs 1885. Whereas from Chennai to Mysore, the fare for chair car of this Vande Bharat Express will be Rs 1200 and the fare for executive chair car will be Rs 2295. This also includes catering expenses.
Overnight Vande Bharat Express has been created keeping in mind the increasing demand of passengers and their facilities. Especially on the Chennai-Mysore route, there is a lot of movement of people in connection with business. This changed pattern of Vande Bharat Express is being considered an important step in ensuring the convenience of passengers traveling through the busy route between Chennai and Bengaluru.
