Vande Bharat Ticket Fare: PM Narendra Modi on Friday (6 June) flagged off the Vande Bharat train between Katra and Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir. This is the first train service between Kashmir Valley and Jammu. Reactions of passengers travelling in it have come out and they are expressing happiness over the start of the train service.
A woman named Zaida Begum said, “It feels very good. We have come from Delhi.” Another person said, “This is very good. If someone has to go to Jammu, at least earlier they used to go by car, it used to take 8-9 hours. It used to take 10 hours also. Today the journey is completed in three to four hours. Even if a person goes in the morning, he can return in the evening. This is a very good facility for us.”
‘It is very good for all the people of Kashmir’
Further he said, “I never thought of this but I was hopeful that our problem will be solved. PM Modi sahab has done a great job.” On a question related to tourism he said, “Yes, it can be very beneficial.” He said that it was very important to start this train service. When there was a flood or the weather was bad, there used to be traffic jam for two to three days. It is very good for all the people of Kashmir. We are very grateful to the government.
