Vande Bharat Express Train: Kashi will get another Vande Bharat gift. Soon a mini Vande Bharat Express will be run between Northeast Railway Varanasi Division and Howrah. 15 Vande Bharat racks have left from Chennai-based ICF. This includes eight coach chair car and sleeper Vande Bharat. Vande Bharat, running at a speed of 130 to 160 km, will complete its journey in just six hours.
According to railway officials, the proposal for Banaras-Howrah Vande Bharat was sent to the Railway Board in 2023 itself. Now the Northeast Railway administration is expected to get a mini Vande Bharat Express. Officials say that with the formation of the NDA government, rail transport will gain momentum. New facilities will be developed for passengers.
Fifth Vande Bharat Express will be available
Vande Bharat Express is already running between Varanasi to Patna and Ranchi. Now preparations are on to run it till Howrah. Route survey has been done for this. Its final report has been submitted to the Railway Ministry. Meanwhile, Lok Sabha elections were announced. Due to this, the process got stalled. Now the elections are over. The government has also been formed. Therefore, preparations are being made to run a mini Vande Bharat Express of eight coaches.
Two Vande Bharat Expresses are being run from Varanasi to New Delhi, one Vande Bharat Express each is being run between Varanasi to Patna and Varanasi to Ranchi. Banaras-Howrah Mini Vande Bharat Express will be the fifth such train. All the Vande Bharat Expresses running right now are from Cantt station only. Howrah Vande Bharat Express will be run from Banaras station. According to railway officials, the announcement of train operation will be made by the Railway Board.
