The Meteorological Department says that the heat is likely to increase in Delhi in the coming days and the maximum temperature may reach 40 degrees Celsius. According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Delhi may remain between 38 to 40 degrees Celsius throughout this week. The minimum temperature is likely to be between 22 to 25 degrees Celsius. At the same time, strong winds may blow in Delhi today.
Alert of rain and snowfall in these areas of the country
According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, light to moderate rain and snowfall is possible in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand between April 23 and 26. On April 23, there may be sporadic rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds (30-40 km per hour) in North Punjab and North Haryana.
Apart from this, light to moderate rain is possible in Northeast India between April 23 and 24. On April 23, light to moderate rain may occur over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh and Sikkim. Light rain is possible in Central Maharashtra and Marathwada between April 23 and 26 and in North Konkan and Goa on April 23. There may be sporadic rainfall in Kerala and Interior Karnataka between 23rd and 24th April.
