Heavy Rain Alert: This monsoon season has been excellent, with abundant rainfall across the country. Many states received heavy downpours, leaving people drenched. Even after the monsoon’s departure, rain continued for a short time in many states across the country, which has now stopped. However, the effects remain in some states, with rain continuing. Meanwhile, Cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal is set to activate Cyclone Senyar, causing a dramatic change in the weather. Consequently, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert for several states for the next 48 hours.

Heavy rains will occur in these states

The weather has changed again in many states due to the activation of Cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal, resulting in Cyclone Senyar. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert that several districts in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh will experience torrential rain over the next 48 hours. During this period, there is also an alert for thunderstorms, strong winds of up to 30-50 kilometers per hour, and dust storms.

Heavy rain will occur in these areas

The activation of Cyclone Senyar has also altered the weather in some other parts of the country. Heavy rain will occur in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Lakshadweep, and Mahe over the next 48 hours. Thunderstorms and strong winds of up to 30-50 kilometers per hour are also expected during this period.

What will the weather be like in Rajasthan and Delhi?

Rajasthan and Delhi received heavy rainfall during the monsoon season. Even after the monsoon season ended, it rained heavily for a few days, but now the cold has set in. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert that temperatures in many areas of Rajasthan and Delhi may drop by 2-3 degrees in the next 48 hours, increasing the cold. However, it will be sunny during the day.
