Goa Weather: According to the forecast released by IMD on Thursday evening, there is a possibility of rain in most parts of South Goa and North Goa on Friday. Similar weather may continue for the next 3 days.
Monsoon 2024: There is hardly any season when there is a shortage of tourists in Goa. Lovers of this coastal state, which is especially crowded with tourists on Christmas and New Year, camp here even during the monsoon. However, during this time there are some restrictions on roaming around the sea and water activities. In such a situation, weather information is necessary before traveling. Now the India Meteorological Department i.e. IMD says that there is a possibility of rain in the northern and southern parts of the state till June 17.
According to the forecast released by IMD on Thursday evening, most parts of South Goa and North Goa are likely to receive rain on Friday. Similar weather may continue for the next 3 days. There is a high possibility of light to moderate rain in most parts of South and North Goa districts till June 17.
The capital Panaji will remain cloudy till June 17. Also, there is a possibility of intermittent rain. During these three days, the maximum temperature may go up to 30 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature may go up to 25 degrees Celsius. After this, there is a possibility of good rain in the city on June 18 and 19 as well. Margao may also receive intermittent rain till June 18 and on June 19-20.
According to PTI Bhasha, the southwest monsoon, which is actively moving towards the west coast on Thursday, has now become active in Assam and Meghalaya as well. It has weakened in Telangana. Thunderstorms and strong winds are likely at isolated places in Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha. Heavy rains are expected at isolated places in Konkan and Goa.
The Meteorological Department said on Thursday that during the next 24 hours, winds are likely to blow at a speed of 35 to 45 kmph on the coasts of Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa, which may increase to 55 kmph. Today i.e. on Friday, there may be rain at some places in Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha and at isolated places in Marathwada.
Rain continues in Mumbai
After two days, most parts of Mumbai received rain again on Friday, giving relief to people from the heat and humidity. The IMD has forecast light to moderate rain with cloudy weather in the city and suburbs in the next 24 hours. Monsoon arrived in Mumbai on June 9, two days before its normal date of June 11, yet there has been no rain in the metropolis in the last two days.
