Weather Update: There will be heavy rain in North-East states till April 2, know the weather condition across the country.

Rainfall Alert: There may be rain in the states of Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim from March 30 to April 2.

Weather Update: The minimum temperature recorded in the national capital Delhi on Thursday morning was 21.2 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees more than the average temperature of this season. IMD has predicted cloudy day and drizzle in the capital today. The maximum temperature may remain around 37 degrees Celsius.

Forecast of lightning, hailstorm, rain and strong winds

An avalanche occurred in Jagatsukh village of Kullu in Manali district on Thursday afternoon. In which one person went missing. In the current dry season, snow has started melting on the mountains. Police, administration and local residents are engaged in rescue operations and snow is being removed to search for the missing person. Kangra resident Rajesh Kumar got buried under snow due to sudden avalanche. The weather remained mainly dry in the state in the last 24 hours. The local weather office has issued an “Orange” alert predicting lightning, hailstorm, rain and strong winds on Friday and Saturday in five districts of Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Chamba and Kangra. A new western disturbance may affect the western Himalayan region from March 29. Shimla Meteorological Office has predicted drizzle in the state till April 3.

Heavy in north-eastern states and Himalayan region

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there may be heavy rainfall in the north-eastern states and the Himalayan region in the next few days. North-East states include Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura.

IMD has predicted scattered rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till March 29. The weather forecast for the next few days predicts moderate rainfall or snowfall with isolated thunderstorms and lightning in Arunachal Pradesh.

Another round of rain from March 30 to April 2

The states of Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim will see another round of rain from March 30 to April 2. There is a possibility of heavy rain or snowfall in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. There is a possibility of heavy rain on 30th and 31st March also.
