With the increase in ARPU, the profitability of companies can grow up to 38 percent in the next two years.




What is AGR?

Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) is a fee charged by the telecom operators on behalf of the telecommunications department. These spectrum usage is divided between charges and licensing fees. Why are prices increasing from AGR?

Explain that the total AGR outstanding on telecom companies is Rs 1.69 lakh crore. At the same time, only 15 telecom companies have paid only Rs 30,254 crore. According to reports, Airtel owes about Rs 25,976 crore, Vodafone Idea owes Rs 50399 crore and Tata Teleservices about Rs 16,798 crore.

This amount is to be paid by the companies soon, its burden is being passed on to the customers. At the same time, companies have benefited greatly due to the upgrade of customers from 2G to 4G and this has increased the average revenue per customer. It is believed that by the middle of this year the user can increase the average revenue to Rs 220.
