After Kovid 19, a digital revolution has come in the country. Now in most of the shops or establishments, we have seen that there is a QR code outside the shop, the customer who buys the goods scans it with the help of the respective app of his mobile and makes the payment by entering the password. But for this you also need to have a smartphone and a bank account.

There are still many people in many remote areas of the country who neither have a smartphone nor have an account in the bank. Thinking for such people, the central government has launched e-Rupay. The purpose of which is to use it in health related services in the initial stage. In many districts of Jharkhand, many people still do not have a smartphone. In such a situation, it can prove to be very effective for the people here, so let us know how it will work and how we can use it.

Link with these eight banks

The e-Rupay scheme of the central government is linked with eight nationalized banks in the country. This includes State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Punjab National Bank, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, IndusInd Bank and ICICI Bank.

How to use e-rupay

E-Rupay has been developed by National Payment Corporation of India in collaboration with Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Health and National Health Authority, which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently. Which will promote completely cashless payment. You must remember some time back when we used to recharge our mobile prepaid number, we used to get a scratch card for the amount chosen by us. After entering the code on your mobile, the said amount gets added to the balance of our mobile. E-rupee also works in the same way. These vouchers are like e-gift cards which are prepaid. The code of the card will reach the customer through SMS or it will be activated by OR code. With the help of this card, you can avail prepaid vaccine facility or buy medicine from selected medical stores.

No need to link account with bank

E-Rupay is fully prepaid i.e. you do not need to have or link your bank account to use this facility. You can get the card for the same amount by paying cash for e-Rupay by visiting the respective banks.

It will be used for health related payments for the time being. If a corporate company wants, it can also pay a part of their salary to its employees through vouchers. The central government had already said that the option of e-voucher for the vaccine would be brought. Here one can pay for vaccination in a private hospital with an e-voucher. If anyone wants, they can also gift it to someone. To pay it in a hospital, all you need to do is provide the code number of the card concerned.
