WhatsApp is working on a new feature which is related to the group feature of WhatsApp. Actually the group feature of WhatsApp has not received much good response. That’s why the company is planning to change it to bring a feature called WhatsApp Community, some more services will be add-on in this feature. It is also possible that WhatsApp may rename its Groups feature to Community. WhatsApp is currently working on a new feature that was recently spotted inside the code of the popular encrypted messaging app during an APK ‘teardown’. According to reports, the new feature may work with the popular group feature of the dubbed community service. This feature will come with many features, WhatsApp is currently working on the beta version of its app to test this feature.
This new community feature was spotted by XDA Developers on the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android. According to the report, the researchers of the APK for WhatsApp beta version 2.21.21.6 have discovered the code for a new community feature, which may offer social media functionality apart from the group function. However, according to the feature’s leaker WABetaInfo, it could also be a way for users to better organize groups on the chat app.
The report suggests that WhatsApp groups, which are very popular in countries like India and Brazil, may be a better way for these users to organize groups. According to a report, this feature can also allow users to host groups “within” a community. However, this is only speculation at this stage as the feature is yet to be revealed. Meanwhile, the feature leaker says that this is unlikely to be a new feature, instead the Community feature offers users a better way to handle groups on the app.
