How to open an account online in India Post Payment Bank, know the complete process

Account can be opened easily through digital medium in Delhi, India Post Payment Bank. IPPB provides the facility of opening savings account digitally through its mobile app. Post office account holders can easily do basic banking transactions through IPPB mobile app. Earlier, customers had to visit their nearest post office for balance check, money transfer and other financial transactions. Now customers have easy access to banking services through India Post Payment Bank. This has helped them a lot.




If you do not have time to go to the post office to open an IPPB account and want to avoid the hassle of standing there, then you can download the IPPB app and open a digital savings account from it while sitting at home. To open this account, the applicant must be an Indian citizen of more than 18 years.

Please note that the digital savings account is valid for one year only. You have to complete the biometric authentication for that account within one year of account opening, after which it will be converted into a regular savings account.

This is the step by step process to open an account

Step 1. Download IPPB Mobile Banking App on your mobile phone. After this, open the IPPB mobile banking app and click on ‘Open Account’.

Step 2. Here you have to enter your PAN card number and Aadhar card number.

Step 3. After entering the PAN card number and Aadhar card number you will receive an OTP on the linked mobile number. Enter that OTP.

Step 4. Now you have to give details like your mother’s name, educational qualification, address and nominee etc.

Step 5. After entering this information click on submit. With this the account will be opened.

Step 6. You can use this instant bank account through the app.
