Work from home: This company is becoming an example by giving 'work from home' to 30 thousand employees

Tech giant Globant is setting a new example by giving work from home to its employees.

Work from home: Tech giant Globant is setting a new example by giving work from home to its employees. The company is spread in 33 countries and employs more than 30 thousand employees. The company is giving full time work from home to all the employees. This is a big step in itself because Globant is one of the largest tech companies in the world which is providing work from home facilities to its employees on such a large scale.

Globant’s CEO is Martin Migoya. According to Buenos Aires Times, Migoya likes to have employees come to his office to work, but it should not be done with a gun held to someone’s head. Migoya said that his employees come to work on their own in the office. He said that he understands the importance of office very well. For them, the office is a center of engagement. A place to collaborate, not just a place to work. “What we’ve seen is that people are coming to the office, they’re congregating together, they’re using the office in a different way, and we’re also reimagining our offices,” Martin said. So that we can keep pace with the changing times.

Migoya’s team has redesigned the offices after the Corona epidemic. More round tables have been installed in place of individual desks so that more people can sit, and more space can be created for the lounge. The company’s Global CEO Patrika Pomies also believes the same. Recently, he expressed his opinion through a post on X. In which Patrica said that remote work was not a mistake. Having days tied to commuting to the office isn’t necessary unless people feel a lack of motivation while working from home.

Patrica also believes in autonomy, and recommends giving each team the flexibility to work in a way that works best for them, whether that’s from home or the office. Globant’s move doesn’t match Alphabet Inc’s Google, Microsoft Corp, and Meta. Because these companies have implemented such policies that employees will have to come to the office and work. There is a debate going on on this topic in India also. Zerodha CEO Nitin Kamath had said some time ago that the concept of work from home was not resonating with some of his employees. It becomes difficult for the people taking decisions because there is a communication barrier.
