According to news agency PTI, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured the people that electricity will not be cut at night anywhere in the village or city.

There is a possibility of shortfall in the supply of coal in many states of the country. It is being said that due to the shortage of coal, the production of electricity can be affected and its supply can be cut.

Yogi Adityanath directed UP Power Corporation Limited director M Devraj to conduct a thorough review regarding the supply of coal to power plants in the state and take all necessary steps to ensure adequate coal supply to the state’s power plants.

Along with this, the Chief Minister also directed to ensure continuous power supply in the urban and rural areas of the state from 6 pm to 7 am.

Bihar is buying electricity at a high price

On the other hand, Bihar has made an additional payment of Rs 90 crore for purchasing power from private sources in the last five days. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave this information on Monday.

He said that despite this situation, Bihar is meeting its peak load demand of 5,500 MW daily.

He said that the officials of the State Electricity Department and other concerned officials have assured that Bihar will soon get regular power supply.

Nitish Kumar said, “I myself am keeping a close watch on the situation. We are trying our best to avoid any crisis. But it cannot be denied that the state is not getting adequate power supply.”

“To meet this shortfall, Bihar is spending extra money to buy power from private sources at a higher rate,” he said.
