How to Link Aadhaar with your Mobile, simple process using OTP, dial 14546


Aadhaar link with your Mobile is mandatory and the only way to do that for now was to visit your Mobile Network center / gallery and get it done. If you have already done that good for you, but if you haven’t then there is a much simpler way of getting it done.

Before I tell you the simple method to link your Aadhaar to your Mobile, do note that the last date / deadline to get your Aadhaar card linked with your Mobile is by 31st March 2018. This new method is really easy and you don’t have to go to the mobile center / gallery, just use your mobile and get your Aadhaar card details ready.

Link Aadhaar Card with your Mobile using 14546 toll free number

  • Use your mobile and dial 14546, this is a toll free number and it’s a IVR service.
  • Once connected, you need to accept your consent to link your Aadhaar with your mobile.
  • Once you give your consent, type in your 12 digit Aadhaar number.
  • You need to give consent to get important details like your address, date of birth, your name etc so that it can be linked with your Mobile.
  • After the process is completed, you will get an OTP via SMS and upon confirming, the process will be completed.
  • Do note it will take up to 48 hours to formally complete the process at the back-end.


  1. The facility of 14546 is applicable only to local lumbers. I have a sim of Tamil Nadu and I moved from Chennai to Rajahmundry. I got my address changed on Aadhaar card. How to link tne moblie with Aadhaar card in such case?

    Link Aadhar 14546 is not working. After completing all the steps, the final answer is “your request cannot be processed. Try again”

  4. My 2nd vodafone mobile is registered at Kolkata. My Aadhar and 1st Vodafone mobile is registered at Mumbai. My 1st Vodafone mobile is linked with Aadhar. Linking the 2nd Vodafone Mobile from being at Mumbai is not possible as this mobile and Aadhar are registered at different cities (so the system says). This is a big drawback in the system.

  5. If the 2nd vodafone mobile is registered from a city (say Kolkata) other than the city where Aadhaar (Say Mumbai) is registered, the system refuses to work even the aadhar registered mobile is of vodafone and registered at Mumbai.

  6. The number 14546 did work for my BSNL sim phone. The only problem I faced was reading the OTP and before entering the OTP the phone gets disconnected. After several tries, I was successful.

  7. What is the option for those who got the sim from local reference and afterward relocate to another state? Here nothing works neither IVR nor nearby service store.

  8. This is totally fake information. Please don’t provide such any information in calls. If you want to link go to your nearest bank or mobile operator. They will link up. Dont share any OPT numbers..
