Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh says that after the order of the High Court in this matter, it is being implemented. This will benefit those employees who were appointed after 31/12/2003. These employees will be given the option to choose OPS. That is, they can choose the option of old pension.

Learn about the case in detail

Central employees had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court. The court hearing the petition said that the advertisement for the job was issued in 2003 and the selection process ended in February 2004. Therefore, the court does not agree with the decision to implement the new pension scheme on the employees. This delay is on the part of the government. They should have got the benefit of that time when the advertisement was brought out in 2003. After this, the court ordered to give the benefit of the old pension scheme under the Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1972.Also Read:Invest money in these 8 schemes of Post Office, you will get double in less time
