8th Pay Commission Latest Update: In January, ending the wait of central employees, the Narendra Modi government approved the formation of the Eighth Pay Commission. The government has not given detailed information about this pay commission but this can increase the expectations of central employees. Central employees hope that after the implementation of the recommendations of the Pay Commission, their salary will more than double. Apart from this, a decision on dearness allowance is also possible. However, it is not yet clear what kind of recommendation the Pay Commission will make on the allowance or not.
How much is the dearness allowance
Central employees currently get 53 percent dearness allowance (DA). Before the 8th Pay Commission is implemented, central employees will get two more dearness allowances. If there is an increase of 4-3 percent twice, then the allowance will increase to 60 percent. This means that when the recommendations of the new Pay Commission are implemented, the dearness allowance will probably have reached 60 percent.
