Ranjit Tiwari has been selected for the direction and Vasu Bhagnani is handling the production of this film. Talking about the story of Ratsasan, the film is about a psycho serial killer who preys on girls. After Tamil, its Telugu version has also been made. Earlier, Akshay appeared in Laxmi, a remake of South’s superhit film Kanchana. In this film, Akshay appeared for the first time in the incarnation of Kinnar.
