Twitter Update: An alert will come if anything is written on Twitter, new feature is coming soon

Twitter said in the blog that it is improving its technology to detect objectionable, mis-language more accurately.

Twitter is introducing a very important feature that will prevent users from writing inflammatory things on the platform. Micro-blogging site is one of the most used platforms, often used to troll or harass users. However, Twitter will no longer allow users to post objectionable tweets. Twitter will now start warning users before posting objectionable tweets.

Testing of this feature was being done a year ago but now it will be started for a wider audience. Back in 2020, Twitter started testing the feature with a small group of people. Testing conducted by the company prompted users to rethink before posting potentially harmful tweets. However, this feature will be available to users of the platform after months.

This feature is being introduced for users using iOS and Android devices whose English-language settings are enabled in their account. Twitter began testing last year on cases that encourage people to stop potentially harmful or offensive replies – such as insults or hateful comments – before tweeting. This gave people a chance to edit or delete their tweets.

Twitter working on Reaction
Now Twitter has worked on its algorithm and collected reactions from users to improve this feature. The testing results show that when users were alerted to offensive tweets, more than 34% of people modified their initial response or decided not to send their response at all. In addition, 11 percent people posted less aggressive replies.

Twitter has also put many circumstances to send reminders to the users. The micro-blogging site said in the blog that they are improving their technology to detect objectionable, mis-language more accurately. However, if two people follow each other, are interactive and have a better understanding, then Twitter will probably not send them an alert.

The Twitter blog stated, “We will continue to find out how to alert users – such as reply alerts and article alerts and other methods of intervention can encourage normal and better interactions on Twitter.” Our team will also collect feedback on Twitter from those who have received reply alerts as we will expand this feature in other languages. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to learn and make new improvements to encourage more meaningful conversations on Twitter. “
