Indian Railways: The Railways is now implementing the RailOne mobile app nationwide for booking both unreserved and reserved tickets. The UTS app will be discontinued by March 2026. The goal is to save passengers the hassle of searching for different apps and provide a single platform for booking tickets for all rail services.
The Railways is now expanding its mobile ticketing system across the country. Under this initiative, the “RailOne” mobile app is being implemented for both unreserved and reserved ticket bookings. The UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) app currently used by passengers will be discontinued by March 2026. The primary objective is to ensure passengers don’t have to search for different apps or options and can access all rail services from a single platform. The RailOne app will make booking tickets, both reserved and unreserved, easy, saving time and effort.
In addition, the Railways has announced a 3% fare discount for bookings made using the RailOne app. This step is designed to enhance passenger convenience and promote digital ticketing, ensuring that all passengers can book their train tickets via mobile in the future.
The 3% discount will be available through the RailOne app.
The Railways has announced a 3% fare discount for tickets booked using the RailOne app. This feature will be available to passengers starting January 14, 2026. The Railways wants more passengers to use this app to make it easier and more convenient to purchase tickets using their mobile phones.
UTS App Increased Use on Mobile
Currently, a large number of passengers purchase unreserved tickets through the UTS app on their mobile phones. This eliminates the need to visit ticket counters, ATM machines, or ticket clerks. Tickets are easily booked directly from their mobile phones.
UTS App Discontinued in the Next Three Months
The option to book season tickets or monthly passes has been removed from the UTS app. The app will be completely discontinued within the next three months. Southern Railway has already initiated this process, and the Commercial Department has been instructed to discontinue the UTS mobile app by March 1, 2026.
Everything will be available through the RailOne app
CPRO Shashikant Tripathi stated that all services will now be available through the RailOne app. Whether booking unreserved or reserved tickets, all bookings can be made through this app. Passengers will no longer need any other app.
