In March 2021, banks will cease to function for a total of 5 days, that is, banks will be on holidays for 5 days this month, except week off and second Saturday. The Reserve Bank of India puts its holidays under three brackets. Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act; There are holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act and the Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday and under the accounts of bank closing.

Apart from this, banks may remain closed on March 15-March 16 as bank employees unions have announced a strike against privatization of banks.

Bank Holidays in September: Know which dates will be closed in September

The All India Bank Employees Union (AIBEA) said that on 15-16 March 2021, 10 lakh employees and officers of the banks would go on a two-day strike. According to the statement, if the government goes ahead with its decision, we will intensify the agitation and go on a prolonged strike and an indefinite strike.




The above days holidays will be celebrated as per the state-declared holidays in various regions. However banks across the country will remain closed for gazetted holidays.
