Birth Certificate Deadline: Government has changed rules regarding birth certificate and issued a new deadline.

Birth Certificate: If your birth certificate is not made or you need to make any changes in your birth certificate, then definitely know its last date.

Birth Certificate Deadline: We have many documents, such as our Aadhaar card, driving license, ration card, voter ID card, etc. We need these documents for various purposes, including government and non-governmental ones. However, without these documents, many of our tasks can be hampered. Take the birth certificate for example.

This document is extremely important and is needed for many purposes, including school admission. If your birth certificate hasn’t been issued or you need to make any changes to it, it’s important to know that the government has issued deadlines for obtaining and updating it. So, let’s find out what these deadlines are…

What can you get done?

If your birth certificate hasn’t been issued, you can get it made.

If there are any errors in your birth certificate, such as name, date of birth, time of birth, etc., you can also get it changed.

You can get both of these things done within the new deadlines issued by the government.

This is the new deadline

If you need to obtain a birth certificate or make any changes to it, the Government of India has issued a new deadline. The new date is April 27, 2026, meaning you can complete this process until this date. However, if there are any errors on your birth certificate after this date, you will not be able to correct them. Furthermore, new applications for birth certificates will not be accepted after April 27, 2026.

This was the old date, learn the rules too.

While the new date is April 27, 2026, the previous deadline was December 31, 2024.

Previously, birth certificates could be obtained up to 15 years after birth, but now even those over 15 can obtain their birth certificates.

Here’s how you can get a birth certificate.

If you don’t have a birth certificate, you can visit the Government of India’s official website, dc.crsorgi.gov.in/crs, where you can register and apply.

If you are over 15 years old, you will need to go to the municipal corporation office or the relevant office to get your birth certificate made. Additionally, if you need to make any changes to your birth certificate, this can also be done offline.
