CBSE online application process starts for private students: No late fee till September 30The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the online application process for private students appearing for class 10th and 12th board examinations to be held in the year 2026.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the online application process for private students appearing in the 10th and 12th board examinations to be held in the year 2026. This process has started from Tuesday. Students who have to appear in this examination will now be able to fill the online form as per the scheduled dates.

According to the board, the last date for application with normal fee has been fixed as 30 September. At the same time, students who will not be able to apply in this period can apply with late fee from 3 October to 11 October. The complete structure of the examination fee is available on the official website of the board.

CBSE conducts examinations every year for regular students of affiliated schools as well as private students. Along with the main examination of regular students, private students also appear in the same examination. The same system will be applicable this time also.

This year, Controller of Examinations Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj told that this time four categories of students can apply. These include students who failed in the examination last year, who have got compartment, who want to apply for improvement, and apart from this, students wishing to improve the category. Students of all these categories can fill the online form to appear in the board examination of the year 2026.

For the convenience of the students, the application process has been started from 9 September. All private students have to apply through the Individual Candidates Link available on the official website. Students will be able to complete the application process by filling the required details and depositing the fee here.

It is worth noting that the online application process for regular students had started from 29 August. The last date for regular students to apply with normal fee is 30 September. After this, they will also have to pay late fee.

The board has also clarified that all the information related to the examination fee is available on the website and students will have to apply by taking updated information from there. It is very important for the students to follow the deadline, so that they do not have to pay late fee.

According to the deadline given by CBSE, if the students fill the form by 30 September, then they will have to pay only the normal fee. But those applying between 3 October and 11 October will have to pay additional fee i.e. late fee.

This time the board has made it clear that no application will be accepted after the stipulated time limit. Therefore, students should complete the application process before the last date.

This information issued by the board has given relief to private students because now they are getting a chance to appear in the examination. This is also an important opportunity for those students who could not succeed in the previous examination due to some reason or who feel the need to improve their marks.
