Cow Dairy Subsidy: Big Update ! Government will give 50% subsidy to cow farmers setting up cow dairy, see details

UP govt subsidy on cow dairy: Under Nand Baba Mission, in the first phase of Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana, Yogi government will give subsidy to the beneficiary for setting up a dairy of 25 milch cows, from the purchase of cows to their conservation and maintenance.

New Delhi: Yogi government has issued the mandate of Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana under Nand Baba Mission for improving the breed of cattle and increasing milk productivity in the state. While this will improve the breed of cows with high milk production capacity in the state, on the other hand the milk production capacity of animals will increase. In the first phase of the scheme, the Yogi government will provide subsidy to the beneficiaries on items ranging from purchase of cows to their conservation and maintenance for setting up 35 units of 25 milch cows each. This subsidy will be given in three phases. At the same time, in the initial phase, this scheme will be operated in ten divisional headquarters cities of the state, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi, Meerut, Agra and Bareilly respectively.

The benefits of the scheme will be available in three phases

Milk Commissioner and Mission Director Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil said that the state ranks first in the country in milk production, while the milk productivity per animal in the state is low. The main reason for this is the shortage of high quality milch animals in the state. Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana has been launched to fulfill this deficiency and to establish more and more units of milch cattle of advanced breed. Under the scheme, only Sahiwal, Gir, Tharparkar and Gangatiri species of milch cows have been included.

How much subsidy will be given on a dairy?

Yogi government has estimated the cost of setting up a unit of 25 milch cows under Nandini Krishak Samridhi Yojana at Rs 62,50,000. In such a situation, the Yogi government will give 50 percent grant on the total expenditure to the beneficiary i.e. a maximum of Rs 31,25,000. Yogi government will give the benefits of this scheme in three phases. In the first phase, a grant of 25 percent of the project cost will be given for the construction of the unit. In the second phase, 12.5 percent grant of the project cost will be given for the purchase of 25 milch cows, their 3-year insurance and transportation. Whereas in the third phase, the remaining 12.5 percent of the project cost will be given a grant.
