Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on Sunday announced a 3 percent increase in dearness allowance (DA) for state government employees. With this increase, the DA for state employees will now be 58 percent of their basic salary. This decision will benefit approximately 3.9 lakh state government employees. The Chief Minister stated that this decision reflects the state government’s commitment to the welfare of employees. Previously, in August 2025, the government had increased the DA by 2 percent, bringing it to 55 percent.

Chief Minister Sai made this announcement during a program organized by the Chhattisgarh State Employees Union in Raipur. Addressing the event, he said that in the past two years, the state government has taken several important decisions in the interest of employees.

Transfer Policy, Promotion Process Employee-Friendly

By improving the transfer policy, promotion process, and workplace system, the administration has been made more transparent, efficient, and employee-friendly. He stated that the establishment of the Department of Good Governance and Convergence has further strengthened the people-centric governance system. The Chief Minister stated that special attention is being paid to the timely payment of pensions, gratuities, and other retirement benefits to ensure that employees do not face any problems at the time of retirement.

The government has also created a strong legislative foundation by establishing the Chhattisgarh Pension Fund and passing the Pension Fund Bill in the State Assembly. He stated that technological innovations have enhanced employee efficiency, and training and capacity-building programs are preparing them to adapt to changing times.
