Delhi Lockdown: Amazon and Flipkart will not deliver non-urgent orders, know the reason …

However, Amazon and Flipkart companies are still delivering essential goods, such as grocery products, health products and personal care items.

Amazon and Flipkart have decided not to deliver non-essential items following the lockdown imposed due to the Karona virus epidemic in Delhi. The Delhi government has implemented the entire lockdown in Delhi from Monday night. Due to this decision, now e-commerce websites have suspended the delivery of non-essential goods. However, the company is still delivering essential goods, such as grocery products, health products and personal care items, etc. Recently, Flipkart and Amazon had postponed non-urgent orders in Maharashtra, a few days after which the move has been taken by Amazon and Flipkart in Delhi as well. Let me tell you, the complete lockdown has been announced in Delhi from Monday i.e. tomorrow night, which is going to run till 26 April.

Amazon has given information through its website regarding non-delivery of non-urgent orders. The e-commerce company has put a banner on its website, which reads “Keeping in mind the latest government guidelines, we are only taking orders for the required products. Delivery may take longer than normal.”

Customers are also receiving a message in the non-essential product listing, which includes products such as electronic devices and home appliances. The message says that the delivery of these products is not currently being done at the selected location.

Unlike Amazon, Flipkart has not put any type of banner on its home page. However, you will receive a notice on the Flipkart mobile app which states “Product availability may be different for your zone as per government regulations.”

Both Amazon and Flipkart companies are still delivering the required products. However, customers may face a slight delay in delivery due to the lockdown.

Amazon India spokesperson said in its statement to Gadgets 360, “We are currently able to deliver the required products as per the new guidelines set by the government.”

Flipkart has not immediately responded to this.
