Delhi: Son slaps 76-year-old mother over parking dispute, dies

A shocking incident has surfaced in Dwarka area of Delhi on Monday. Angry over the parking dispute here, a young man slapped his 76-year-old elderly mother so hard that she died on the spot. Police began investigating the case after the incident was captured on CCTV and the video went viral. After this, the police registered a case against the accused son and arrested him.

There was a dispute over vehicle parking

Dwarka Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Santosh Kumar Meena said that the incarnation of the deceased is Kaur (76). He said that there was a dispute on vehicle parking between Kaur and his neighbor Sevak Park resident Shudhra (38) on Monday.

On this, Shudhara called the police control room. When the police reached the spot on the information, the complainant said that the matter has been resolved and she no longer wants further action in the matter.

Kaur had a fight with her son over a parking dispute

DCP Meena told that Kaur had a quarrel with his son Ranbir (45) and daughter-in-law after Puuuluuluis left. Ranbir was angry with his mother for quarreling with the neighbor over parking. At the same time, angry Ranbir forcefully slaps his mother. Due to this, she collapsed on the spot indiscriminately. This entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed on the spot. Which has since been taken as proof.

Kaur declared dead in hospital

DCP Meena said that the CCTV footage showed the daughter-in-law being handled by Kaur after she fell to the ground. After the incident, Kaur’s son and daughter-in-law take him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declare him dead. He said that after confirming the death, Ranbir did not inform the police and cremated the mother. The police registered a case when the video surfaced.

Police arrested Ranbir after registering a case

DCP Meena said that a case has been registered against Ranbir, an accused in the case, under Section 304 (culpable homicide) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Bindapur police station. He said that Ranbir is currently unemployed and has been arrested. After the mother’s death, the accused son did not produce a medical-legal certificate (MLC) and did not even make any PCR call in connection with the incident. Action is also being taken on this.
