Delhi Traffic New Rules: Now if caught driving without this paper in Delhi, license will be canceled, a fine of 10000 will also be imposed.

Under this decision of the Delhi government, driving without PUC will also tighten the screws under the Motor Vehicles Act. You can be jailed for 6 months or fine up to Rs 10000 or both together.

Air pollution is the biggest problem in the country’s capital Delhi. The townspeople are forced to live in a stifling environment. The Delhi Government has taken a big step to reduce air pollution in Delhi. From now on, driving license in Delhi without a valid Pollution Control Certificate can lead to cancellation of driving license. Not only this, jail or fine can also be imposed.

In fact, under this decision of the Delhi government, driving without a Pollution Control Certificate (PUC) will also tighten the screws under the Motor Vehicles Act. If your vehicle does not have a valid pollution certificate, then you can be jailed for 6 months or fine up to Rs 10000 or both together. Not only this, driving license will also be canceled for 3 months for PUC driving. During this, the Pollution Department has also appealed to the people to get the PUC check of the vehicles done before leaving the house. No one will be released if there is no certificate. If you come on the streets, bring a valid pollution certificate.

From now on the car will not run on the roads without PUC

Let us tell you that recently the Central Government has made changes in the Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUC Certificate) issued across the country under the Central Motor Vehicles Rules 1989. Uniform pollution control certificates will be issued across the country and rejection slips will also be issued if emissions are found to exceed the limit. Thus enforcement of the rules will be IT-enabled and will help in better control of polluting vehicles. A QR code will be printed on the form. It will have complete information about the PUC center.

Delhi government started faceless service in RTO

It is worth noting that the Delhi government had recently made most of its transport related services faceless. The government has talked about ending corruption in RTO with this. Also, people will get many facilities easily while sitting at home. Due to the transport service being faceless in Delhi, there is no need to travel unnecessarily in the transport office and agents will also get relief. At the same time, after the start of this service in all the RTOs of Delhi, the crowd is gathering less. People are doing their work sitting at home.

Know what is the plan of the Ministry of Road Transport

Let us inform that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has issued a notification in this regard on June 14. The purpose of this notification is to soon introduce a uniform pollution control certificate format across the country and link its database with the National Register. At the same time, most of the services of RTO have been started online during the Corona period. Many states have also started online services related to RC and PUC of vehicles including driving license. Now online medical certificates are also being made for driving license.
