Disney+ Hotstar has announced that the new subscription packs will go live from September 1.
The company is going to discontinue the VIP subscription coming for one year for Rs 399. Also, now all users will get access to all the content. Which, at present, is not given.
There are two types of subscriptions to Disney + Hotstar. A VIP and Premium. For these two, Rs 399 and Rs 1,499 have to be paid respectively for 1 year. VIP customers do not get to see English shows and Disney Originals. Also there are ads.
Now Disney + Hotstar is preparing to give the same content benefit to all users. However, the quality may vary. That is, from September 1, Disney + Hotstar VIP subscription is being discontinued. The company will now offer three new plans.
These will be all three yearly plans. Customers will have to pay Rs 499 for Mobile plan, Rs 899 for Super and Rs 1,499 for Premium. The benefits for premium users will remain the same as before. However, now premium users will get to see the show in 4 devices, as well as 4K video quality.
Disney+ Hotstar Super users will get access to 2 devices and the video quality will be limited to HD. At the same time, in the most basic plan, users will get access to only one mobile device.
With the arrival of new plans, Disney + Hotstar will allow all its users to see all the content. But, the price of the plan will increase by Rs 100. Some such plans are offered by Netflix.
