New Delhi Veteran batsman Rahul Dravid said that India will win 3–2 in the five-Test series in England tour this year and this is the best chance for the team to win in England after 2007. Dravid was the last Indian captain to win a Test series in England. According to ESPNcricinfo, Dravid said during a webinar, “I really think India has the best chance at the moment.” Dravid, head of the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, said that the Ravichandran Ashwin vs Ben Stokes match would make this interesting series more interesting.
Rahul Dravid said, ‘There is no question about his (England) bowling. Any bowling attack like England, especially fast bowling attack, will be great. He has many options, but if you look at his top six or seven batsmen, you would really think of a world-class batsman and who he is. Of course the other batsman is Ben Stokes, who is a good all-rounder, but I think Ashwin should do well against him and it should be an interesting match. I know that Ashwin did well against him (Stokes) in India, but it will still be an interesting match of the series.
Dravid believes that the Indian team, which had a historic win in Australia, would have a good chance. He said, ‘India will be very well prepared. He has the confidence to win in Australia. The players have great faith in themselves. Some players have played in England in the past. This time our batting is very experienced. So, this is probably the best opportunity for us. India can win this series 3–2. I think India will do really well in England this time. ‘
