DL: The transport department is planning to build 12 automated driving test tracks across Delhi by next year.
DL: There is news of relief for the people of Delhi. In order to provide uninterrupted service of DL to the people, 12-12 hour shifts will be introduced on all days of the week in offices with Automated Driving Test Track from next year.
After this it can be extended to other RTO offices. The Transport Department is planning to build 12 such automated driving test tracks across Delhi by next year.
why took this step
The Transport Department has taken this step in view of the increasing number of people driving without a license.
In fact, in the present system, despite the large number of applications for DL in RTO offices, many people are driving vehicles without getting DL made.
Due to this the risk of accidents is increasing, in which this step has been taken to reduce it.
Applicants will get these facilities
Electronic token system will be started in DL test centers to avoid crowd gathering in RTO offices due to large number of applicants.
The entire campus will be monitored with CCTV cameras. Its live broadcast can be seen in the headquarters, so that any irregularity can be caught by the officials.
Apart from this, the department will also include private companies in this scheme to prepare driving licenses and send them to the address of the applicants for speedy disposal of the work.
