FASTag KYC Last Date: If you drive and use FASTag on your vehicle, then today’s date 29th February is very important for you. If your FASTag KYC details are not updated then your FASTag may be blacklisted from tomorrow and may be closed. According to the order of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), banks will deactivate the Fastag of the customers if the KYC information is not updated till the deadline. Due to this, you may face many problems during the journey.

What is KYC and why is it important to update it?

Banks have to complete the process of KYC meaning Know Your Customer, for which they ask for their details from the customers. Customers have to verify their identity and address by providing their ID and other necessary documents. Actually, NHAI had come across such cases where multiple Fastags were being issued on the same vehicles or Fastags were being given without verifying the details, due to which KYC rules have been made mandatory. This will prevent misuse of Fastag and the accounts of genuine customers will continue to run smoothly.
