Israel-Iran Tensions: Amidst the increasing tension between Israel and Iran, the Indian Government has taken a big decision and temporarily suspended Air India’s flights to Tel Aviv.
Flights Suspended: Amidst the Israel-Hamas war, Iran attacked Israeli territory late Saturday night. Iran fired missiles at Israel. Amidst the war, Indian airline company Air India, owned by Tata Group, has taken a big decision. The company on Sunday (April 14) decided to temporarily suspend flights to the Israeli city Tel Aviv.
An official told news agency PTI that direct flights from Delhi to Tel Aviv will remain suspended for the time being. Air India operates 4 weekly flights between Delhi and the Israeli city.
Services to Tel Aviv were restored on March 3.
Air India had resumed services to Tel Aviv on March 3 after a gap of almost 5 months. Air India had suspended flights to Tel Aviv from October 7 last year after the Hamas attack on the Israeli city.
Extremely concerned by conflict between Israel and Iran: India
After Iran’s drone and missile attack on Israel, India on Sunday (April 15) said that it is extremely concerned about the increasing conflict between the two countries and the attack threatens regional peace and security. India expressed concern over this development and appealed to reduce tension immediately. India said its embassies in the region are in touch with the Indian community. The Foreign Ministry said that India is closely monitoring the situation.
