Good news for EPFO ​​account holders, interest may come in PF account in July

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has decided that the interest rate for the year 2020-21 will be 8.5%. Now it is expected that this interest can come in July. In the meeting of the Central Board of Trustees of EPFO ​​held in March, it was decided that the interest rates for 2020-21 will not be changed. In 2019-20 also the interest rate was only 8.5%. Interest rates were cut in 2019-20 due to Corona. The interest rate was 8.65% in 2018-19 and 8.55% in 2017-18.

You can check balance through SMS

1- If your UAN number is registered with EPFO, then your PF balance information will be received through message. For this you have to send EPFOHO on 7738299899

2-If you want information in Hindi language then know balance through EPFOHO missed call – Give missed call on 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number. After this, the details of PF will be received through the message of EPFO. It is necessary to have your UAN, PAN and Aadhaar linked here too.

You can check PF balance online like this

1-Log on to the EPFO ​​website. Click on e-passbook on epfindia.gov.in 2- On clicking on e-passbook
a new page will be redirected to passbook.epfindia.gov.in.
3-Here you have to fill your username (UAN number), password and captcha.
4- After filling all the details, you will come to a new page and here you will have to select the member ID.
5-Here you will get your EPF balance on e-passbook.

You can also check balance on UMANG app

Open your UMANG App (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) and click on EPFO.
You have to click on Employee-centric services on another page.
Click on View Passbook here. Enter your UAN number and Password (OTP) number. OTP will come to you on your registered mobile number. After this you can check your PF balance.
What is UAN Number- EPFO ​​provides the service of Universal Account Number (UAN) through which account holders can check their PF account balance. This number is similar to that of a bank account.
