The government has made preparations to give dearness allowance (DA). The government is ready to put the DA (Dearness Allowance) in the account of the increased amount i.e. 28 per cent. However, now employees also want arrears for the last 18 months. Demand has been kept from the government regarding this.




In January 2020, the demand for 18-month arrears increased by 4% DA of central employees. Meaning it was 21 per cent of the total. However, it has not been paid. At the same time, in June 2020, there was an increase of 3%. Now in January 2021, DA has increased by 4%. With this it has reached 28%. According to Shiv Gopal Mishra, General Secretary of All India Railway Man Federation (AIRF), the government is ready to release the amount of DA. However, employee organizations are now demanding arrears as well. Due to this, there is also a possibility of a big meeting between the center and employee organizations in the next two weeks.

According to Shiv Gopal Mishra, the meeting can be held next week, there have been several rounds of meetings with the central government regarding dearness relief and dearness relief. Memos have been submitted many times. Now the government’s position is positive. According to Shiv Gopal Mishra, the demand of employees is justified. During the Corona, no employee protested the withholding of allowances. They all supported the government in avoiding the helplessness of the government and the trouble that came on the country. But now DA is entitled to an increased rate of 30 per cent. There may be a meeting next week. Representatives of Finance Ministry and Employees Organization will be present in it. The government has made it clear that all the workers will get DA, but now the fight is arrears. From January 2020 to June 2021, there is an outstanding area of ​​18 months.

Dearness allowance has increased by 15 percent.

In January 2020, there was a 4 percent increase in the dearness allowance of central employees. However, it could not be paid due to Corona. After this, dearness allowance was increased by 3% in June 2020. There has been an increase of 4% in January 2021. Means total 28% dearness allowance to be met. Apart from this, due to the ban till June 2021, dearness allowance of June will also be paid in July. Meaning 4 percent more is expected to increase. After the ban is lifted, the total DA can reach 32 per cent. That is, since January 2020, there has been a total increase of 15 percent.
