First feature
The first feature is to enter card information through fingerprint, face scan or PIN. Now with the autofill feature on Chrome and Android, you can save your time while purchasing goods. This feature automatically fills your shipping address, billing address and payment information. Now whenever you make a payment using Autofill on Chrome or Android, you’ll be able to fill in all your card information using the same method you use to unlock your phone (fingerprint, face scan or PIN). That means you no longer need to enter the security code yourself.
Google says you can also set up device unlock, where you’ll be asked to unlock your phone before showing your full card details when making a payment. This will ensure that no one else using your phone can use your card in your absence.
Second feature
The second feature is to easily view card benefits. You get rewards for shopping on many credit cards, but it is difficult to remember which card has the most benefits. Google Pay now makes this process easy. Now while making payment you will see the benefits available from your card. For now, this feature is only for American Express and Capital One card holders who use Chrome desktop. In future, Google Pay is planning to implement this feature on more cards also.
Third feature
The third feature coming in Google Pay app is “Buy now, pay later”. Google Pay is now offering this feature on more shopping websites. The company said, “Earlier this year, we started a trial of showing some of these options with Google Pay when making online payments, which included Affirm and Zip. Recently, we have added more merchant sites and Android apps in the US. But this feature has been started.”
