Yogi Government For MSME: Many new schemes are approved from time to time by the Central and State Government. Now there is great news for the people of UP. The Yogi Government has approved another scheme in the Council of Ministers today. Giving relief to the small entrepreneurs of the state, the Uttar Pradesh Council of Ministers on Wednesday approved the “Chief Minister’s Micro Entrepreneur Accident Insurance Scheme”.

Meeting held under the chairmanship of Yogi Adityanath

While giving information about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, State cabinet minister Suresh Kumar Khanna told reporters that for the micro, small and medium industries (MSMEs), the ‘Chief Minister’s Micro Entrepreneur Accident Insurance Scheme’ has been approved.

Can claim up to 5 lakhs

He said that through this scheme, assistance can be provided to micro entrepreneurs in unavoidable circumstances. Under this, a claim of up to five lakh rupees can be made on the death or disability of the eligible entrepreneur.

Have to register

Khanna said that only about 15 percent units of the total MSME units established in the state are formally registered on the Udyam Registration Portal and 85 percent units are working informally. Due to non-compulsory registration on the Udyam Registration Portal, the data of these units is not formally available.

Decision to give relief to micro entrepreneurs

He said that as a result the economic contribution of this sector is not known realistically. Apart from this, difficulty has to be faced in policy making. Due to this, the Yogi government has decided to give relief to micro entrepreneurs.

People from 18 to 60 years can apply

The minister said that micro-category entrepreneurs in the age group of 18 to 60 years can apply under the scheme. In this, such micro-entrepreneurs will be included who are not eligible to get the benefit of the Merchant Accident Insurance Scheme run by the GST Department.
