The High Court has considered the honorarium being given to Shikshamitras to be much less than the amount required for living as per the financial index of the country.

What did the court say?

Along with this, the court has expressed hope that the committee will consider this matter in the next three months and take an appropriate decision on increasing the honorarium of Shikshamitras. Justice Saurabh Shyam Shamsheri has given this order on 10 petitions including that of Jitendra Kumar Bharti.
