Process to Apply for Duplicate Driving License
To apply for a duplicate driving license, first of all you have to collect some documents. You may need these documents. For Duplicate Driving License you will need application in Form-2 (LLD), original license, photocopy of license, copy of FIR, passport size photo, age proof and address proof.
Follow these steps for online application
- To apply for a duplicate driving license in UP (UP), first go to the website of Sarathi Transport, https://parivahan.gov.in/.
- Select the option of ‘Online Service’ given here.
- After this select ‘Driving License Related Services’.
- Then select the state ‘Uttar Pradesh’.
- Here go to the page of ‘Driving License’ and click on ‘Services on DL (Renewal/Duplicate/AEDL/IDP/Other).
- Select ‘Continue’ and then enter the driving license number and your date of birth.
- After this, choose your driving license from the DL details available and click on continue.
- After this select your state name and RTO.
- Now confirm your driving license details and then select ‘Issue of Duplicate DL’.
- Now you have to tell why you want to apply for DL.
- After this, download the previously filled application form and the slip received after payment.
- You have to take both these documents to the RTO office and submit them there.
- After a few days, your duplicate driving license will arrive.
