The Meteorological Department has said that the rains are expected to continue in the states of North West India between May 27-30. There will be relief from heavy rains only after May 30-31.

At the same time, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued Orange Alert for Haryana, North-East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and said that there is a possibility of thunderstorm in Delhi for the next 3-4 days. The Meteorological Department said that due to the moisture coming from the Arabian Sea, there will be similar weather in North West India today and tomorrow and there will be thunderstorms in North West India for 5 days. It has also been told that there is a possibility of heavy rain in north-eastern UP and thunderstorm in other areas on Sunday.

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rains will continue in the states of North West India for the next four to five days. During this, activities like strong winds, lightning can be seen. An alert has been issued for hailstorm in eastern Uttar Pradesh on May 27 and in northern Rajasthan on May 28 and 29. Apart from this, gusty winds with a speed of 50-60 kmph are expected in Haryana, Delhi on May 27, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan on May 27 and 28. Heavy rains are going to occur in Haryana, Northeast Rajasthan on May 27, Northwest Uttar Pradesh on May 27 and 28.

Talking about the states of North Eastern India, there will be heavy rains in Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura for the next 24 hours. After that it will decrease. At the same time, heavy rain alert has been issued on May 27 in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland. Talking about Central India, light to moderate rain is going to occur in Madhya Pradesh for the next three days. During this, activities of thunderstorms and lightning can also be seen. Hail will fall in East MP on 27th May. Talking about East India, light to moderate rain is going to occur over West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar and Jharkhand for the next two days. Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim will receive heavy rains on 27th May.

Coming to South India, light to moderate rains are likely to continue for next five days over states like Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh. There will be heavy rains in Tamil Nadu on May 27, Kerala on May 27-29, South Interior Karnataka on May 29.

Talking about the weather of the previous day, the maximum temperature in Vidarbha, Telangana, Rayalaseema, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Marathwada, Southwest Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh remained in the range of 38-42 degree Celsius, while other parts of the country recorded a maximum temperature of 30-34 degree Celsius. The mean temperature is recorded. There is not likely to be much change in temperature in the states of Central India for the next three days. The weather will not change for the next 24 hours in western and eastern India. After that, it will see an increase of two to three degrees Celsius. For the next five days, heatwave will not be seen anywhere in the country.

Rain in many parts of Punjab and Haryana

In some parts of Haryana, a drop in temperature has been recorded after the rains. The Meteorological Department gave this information on Saturday. According to the department, it rained overnight in Hisar, Karnal, Narnaul, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Kurukshetra and Rewari. He told that apart from Haryana, it also rained in Bathinda and Faridkot of Punjab. According to the department, many areas of both the states and their common capital Chandigarh have been receiving intermittent rains since May 24, providing respite to the people from the scorching heat. The maximum temperature in both the states and Chandigarh has been below normal for the past few days.

Rain with strong winds in Delhi-NCR

Delhi and National Capital Region received rain accompanied by strong winds on Saturday morning. Water-logging was observed in many areas of Delhi due to rain. The India Meteorological Department said at around 6.30 am that a group of clouds is passing over Delhi-NCR, due to which there will be light to moderate rain in the next two hours in and around the region with a wind speed of 40 to 70 km. Strong winds will blow at the speed of hourly. Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 34.5 degrees Celsius on Friday, five notches below normal.
