However, a fresh warning for storms and rain has been issued for the capital for April 7 and 8. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature in the capital Today is expected to hover around 18 degrees Celsius.
Rain Alert for UP and Bihar Today
Much like Delhi, rainy weather conditions persist in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, a heavy rain alert has been issued for Today—covering Lucknow as well as Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Aligarh, Bulandshahr, Firozabad, Mahoba, Jhansi, Jalaun, Mahamayangar, Hamirpur, Hardoi, and Kanpur. Meanwhile, similar to UP, a warning for thunderstorms and rain has also been issued for Bihar. Farmers, in particular, have been advised to remain vigilant. The Jaipur Meteorological Centre has issued a warning for April 4, predicting severe storms, heavy rainfall, and isolated hailstorms across the Udaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions, as well as parts of the Shekhawati region. Furthermore, on the afternoon of April 6, the activation of a new and strong Western Disturbance in certain parts of the Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions is expected to bring strong winds and rain to various parts of the state. On April 7, there is a likelihood of thunderstorms, isolated hailstorms, and moderate to heavy rainfall in specific areas within the Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Kota divisions.
Storm Warning Issued for Jharkhand Today
The weather pattern across Jharkhand—including its capital, Ranchi—is changing rapidly. The Meteorological Department has stated that stormy and rainy conditions are expected to persist for the next five days. During this period, there is a likelihood of strong winds, rainfall, and hailstorms in several districts. In view of this, a ‘Yellow Alert’ has been issued for 14 districts, including Ranchi, Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Latehar, Giridih, Gumla, Lohardaga, Ramgarh, Bokaro, Dhanbad, and Khunti.
Meanwhile, an ‘Orange Alert’ has been declared for April 6, warning of heavy rainfall in several districts across the state. Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra, Latehar, Ranchi, Bokaro, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Khunti, Ramgarh, Lohardaga, Koderma, and Dhanbad are likely to experience strong winds blowing at speeds of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour, accompanied by hailstorms.
What will the weather be like in the mountains today?
In Uttarakhand’s tourist hub of Nainital, the weather took a turn on Saturday morning, and light rainfall made the conditions pleasant. According to the Meteorological Department, intermittent rain is expected to continue in Nainital today as well. Meanwhile, in Himachal Pradesh, rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in Kangra, Mandi, Kullu, and Shimla starting April 5. During this period, hailstorms may also occur in some mountainous regions. As for Jammu and Kashmir, the skies will remain partially cloudy from April 5 to 7. On April 8 and 9, light rain or snowfall may occur in some areas.
