New Delhi: The weather across India is rapidly changing as several western disturbances are affecting the country’s climate. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, and temperature fluctuations between March 31 and April 5. Snowfall is possible in the northern hilly areas, while heat and humidity may increase in the plains. Temperatures in some parts of northwestern India may fluctuate by 2-5 degrees Celsius in the coming days.

Rain and hailstorms are likely here

According to the Meteorological Department, rain and hailstorms accompanied by strong winds are likely in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha on March 31. Heavy rain is expected in Arunachal Pradesh on March 31 and April 1, and in Assam, Meghalaya, and Tripura on March 31. Light to moderate rain is expected over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi from April 3 to 5, over western Rajasthan from April 2 to 4, over eastern Rajasthan on April 3 and 4, and over western Uttar Pradesh on April 4 and 5. Thunderstorms and strong winds are also possible at isolated places.

In addition, light to moderate rain/snowfall is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh on April 3 and 4. Thunderstorms and strong winds (up to 40-50 kmph) are also possible at some places.

Poor weather conditions will also prevail in these states.

Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds (up to 30-50 kmph) is expected at some places in Central India over the next five days. Isolated hailstorms are expected in Vidarbha on March 31 and April 1, and in Chhattisgarh on April 1. Rain and hailstorms are also possible in Central Maharashtra and Marathwada.

How will the weather be in Delhi?

Delhi will remain cloudy on Tuesday. Very light rain is expected between afternoon and evening. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi are likely to be between 32°C and 34°C and 18°C ​​to 20°C, respectively. Minimum temperatures will be near normal in most places in Delhi.
