IMD Rainfall Alert! Heavy rain will occur in these 7 states for the next 2 days, Meteorological Department issued an alert

Heavy rain alert in 7 states: Regional Head of Meteorological Center Charan Singh said, ‘We have issued an alert for Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Orange alert has been issued for Punjab, Haryana, UP and East Rajasthan. We have issued a yellow alert for the next 24 hours in Delhi. Heavy rains lashed Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and various parts of north-west India this week, leading to water-logging and snarling of traffic in many areas.

IMD Rainfall Alert: The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding heavy rains in many states of the country including Delhi. Charan Singh, head of the Regional Meteorological Center Delhi, said that there is a possibility of heavy rains in Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next 2 days. Along with this, an alert has been issued for heavy rains in the next two days in Punjab, Haryana, UP and East Rajasthan.

Charan Singh, regional head of the meteorological center, said, “We have issued an alert for Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Orange alert has been issued for Punjab, Haryana, UP and East Rajasthan. We have issued a yellow alert for the next 24 hours in Delhi. Heavy rains lashed Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and various parts of north-west India this week, leading to water-logging and snarling of traffic in many areas. There was a sudden flood and landslide in Gramphu village and Chhota Dharra in the early hours of Sunday.

How long will it rain in these states including Delhi

According to the Meteorological Department, the intensity of rain will continue in the mountains tomorrow as well, although the intensity will be less in the plains. On the other hand, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Delhi-NCR in the next 24 hours. It will rain here for the next four to five days, but its intensity will be less. There is a possibility of extremely heavy rains in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh in the next 24 hours.

Red alert in many areas of Jammu and Kashmir

The havoc of rain continues in many states. Due to heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir, the water level of Jhelum river and its tributaries has suddenly increased. Goods trucks are stranded in Udhampur due to the closure of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway due to bad weather. A red alert has been issued for Kathua and Samba districts as well as lower catchment areas amid rains in Jammu and Kashmir for the third consecutive day.

Orange alert at many places

IMD has issued an ‘Orange’ alert for Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. Monsoon is fully active in India. Monsoon has reached Punjab and Haryana ahead of time. It usually reaches here by 5th July. Now a Western Disturbance has become active. Today and tomorrow it will rain in both the states. Ajay Kumar Singh of Chandigarh’s Meteorological Department said that Orange and Yellow alerts have been issued at most places.

Rain and waterlogging from north to south

Heavy rains lashed several parts of north India, including national capital Delhi, on Saturday, leading to water-logging on several important roads and commuters faced traffic snarls. Heavy rain lashed parts of Kerala in southern India in the morning, disrupting traffic and waterlogging in low-lying areas.
