Account can be easily opened in India Post Payment Bank sitting at home. IPPB provides the facility to open a savings account digitally through its mobile app. Post office account holders can easily do basic banking transactions through IPPB mobile app.
Earlier, customers had to visit their nearest post office for balance check, money transfer and other financial transactions. Now through India Post Payment Bank, customers have got very easy access to banking services. This has helped them a lot.
Now you can download IPPB app sitting at home and open IPPB account from it. To open this account, the applicant must be an Indian citizen of more than 18 years.
Please note that the digital savings account is valid for one year only. You have to complete the biometric authentication for that account within one year of account opening, after which it will be converted into a regular savings account.
Let us know the step by step process to open an account.
Step 1. Download IPPB Mobile Banking App on your mobile phone. After this, open the IPPB mobile banking app and click on ‘Open Account’.
Step 2. Now here you have to enter your PAN card number and Aadhar card number.
Step 3. After entering the PAN card number and Aadhar card number you will receive an OTP on the linked mobile number. Enter that OTP.
Step 4. Now you have to give details like your mother’s name, educational qualification, address and nominee etc.
Step 5. After entering this information, click on submit. With this the account will be opened.
Step 6. You can use this instant bank account through the app.
