IPPB Customers: Good News! Recurring payment facility will be available at doorstep, Gramin Dak Sevaks will go door to door

Through the Bharat Billpay platform, people will now be able to make recurring payments in cash sitting at home. India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) and National Payments Corporation of India’s subsidiary Bharat Billpay announced this on Friday. This facility is available for both IPPB and non-IPPB customers.

One-step ecosystem ready with the help of postal department

Regarding this facility, IPPB MD and CEO J. Venkataramu said, ‘After the collaboration of NPCI Bharat Billpay Limited and IPPB, people will get the facility of doorstep bill payment with the help of Gramin Dak Sevaks and postal workers.’ “Bharat Bilpay has created a one-step ecosystem for all bill payments with the help of wide-reaching network of Postal Department and digital banking platform of IPPB,” he said.

Bill payment segment will change completely

Nupur Chaturvedi, CEO, Bharat Billpay Limited said, “We believe this collaboration will transform the bill payment segment, as customers can now pay their bills as per their convenience. Payment can be made through a trusted postman or by visiting the nearest post office. He said that ‘this service will help lakhs of people in remote areas where there is a severe shortage of banking service’.

IPPB upgrades bill payment platform

IPPB has also upgraded its bill payment platform. IPPB and non-IPPB customers can also do recurring transactions like mobile post-paid, D2H recharge, school fees and other utility services using the bank’s mobile banking service.
