Jammu and Kashmir: One soldier martyred in Pulwama encounter, 4 terrorists surrounded, encounter is going on since last night

An Army jawan was martyred in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir ‘s Pulwama district on Friday. Encounter is going on in Pulwama since last night. It is being told that the security forces have surrounded three to four terrorists in the area and are running an operation to nab them.




Security forces launched a cordon and search operation at Hajin village of Rajpura in Pulwama district after receiving information about the presence of militants, a police official said. The operation turned into an encounter as the terrorists opened fire on the security forces. The security forces also gave a befitting reply to the firing.

In the initial firing, a jawan was injured, who died during treatment at the hospital, the official said. It is believed that three to four terrorists are present at the spot. It is believed that he has a large number of weapons, due to which he is still out of the grip of the security forces.

Here, suspected Pakistani drones have been seen in Arnia sector. The Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday fired at a suspected Pakistani surveillance drone trying to enter Indian territory from the International Border. He said that alert BSF personnel spotted the suspicious drone in Arnia sector on the outskirts of Jammu at 4:25 am. To bring it down, the Border Security Force personnel fired half a dozen bullets, after which the drone returned to Pakistan.

A BSF spokesperson said, “Very alert personnel of the force today fired upon a small Pakistani drone while trying to cross the International Border in Arnia sector. Due to the firing, the drone returned immediately. He told that the drone had come to monitor the area.

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir are on high alert after a drone attack on an Indian Air Force station here on Sunday. Then the explosives-laden drones were dropped at the Air Force station located in the Jammu airport complex. Officials said this was probably the first time that suspected terrorists from Pakistan have used an unmanned vehicle in the attack. After this, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday also, drones were seen flying over important military installations in different areas of Jammu during the night.
