New Delhi: In the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the issuing body of Aadhaar, has made major changes to its facilities, allowing people to update important details from the comfort of their homes.
In a recent tweet, UIDAI has said that people can dial the 1947 Aadhaar helpline number and get a lot of service.
UIDAI tweeted, “You can find your nearest Aadhaar center with details like address of authorized centers of the area by dialing 1947 from your mobile or landline. You can locate a base center using the mAadhaar App, ”UIDAI tweeted.
People can now make changes to their Aadhaar details online, without visiting any Aadhaar center. Now you can update your name, date of birth, gender, address and language online. But, for other updates such as details of the head / guardian of the family or biometric updates, to link the mobile number to Aadhaar, the resident has to visit the Aadhaar Seva Kendra or Enrollment / Update Center.
UIDAI has made it easy for people to find their Aadhaar service center online. Aadhaar card holders can get three options for this: Search by state, PIN code and search box.
