John Abraham Kangana Ranaut Kiss Controversy: Kangana Ranaut and John Abraham have been in the industry for decades and both have a huge fan following. The two shared screen space in Sanjay Gupta’s 2013 release ‘Shootout at Wadala’, which was a prequel to the 2007 hit ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’. The film also starred Anil Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor and Manoj Bajpayee, though John and Kangana appeared opposite each other in the film.
The film saw John play the role of a dreaded gangster named Manya Surve, while Kangana was seen as his widowed girlfriend. She has many intimate and kissing scenes in Shootout at Wadala. Even before this, both had shot kissing soon, but during this film, in a scene, John Abraham lost his temper while kissing Kangana. Not only this, he had also become quite violent.
In 2012, even before the release of the film, a source revealed to TOI, “Shootout at Wadala has not one but two hot, lovemaking scenes. One is a very simple and very passionate kiss and the other is so violent that It’s almost like John sexually assaulted Kangana!”
The source said, “Though the actor had caught cold, he insisted on meeting the schedule. Both John and Kangana had kissed in their previous films, so the shoot went smoothly. There was a heated argument between the two during the lovemaking intense scene. John held her hand tightly and started fondling her but his grip was so strong that Kangana’s bangles broke and she started bleeding. Immediately apologized to Kangana. It was just that being good actors both he and Kangana got carried away by the passion they created in the moment.”
The source added that the makers had to halt the shoot for an hour till the doctors reached the sets as Kangana was bleeding profusely. While Kangana had a very small role in Shootout at Wadala, fans loved her onscreen chemistry with John.
